Walworth Big Foot-Williams Bay won its first Rock Valley Conference girls soccer championship this spring thanks to its defense, allowing just two goals in its seven league matches.
And two of the anchors of that defense, junior goalkeeper Katie Pearce and junior defender Lindsey Mazur, were the Chiefs' representatives on the All-Rock Valley Conference first team.
Evansville, which finished just behind Big Foot-Williams Bay in the standings, collected the most individual honors with four of the 12 first-team selections led by player of the year Lydia Eager.
Mazur and Eager were named to the top team by conference coaches for the second straight year, as were McFarland senior defender Talia Schluter and Whitewater junior keeper Courtney Samuels.
McFarland senior midfielder Jenny Ujke, meanwhile, made the first team for the third straight year.
