Mequon Homestead regained the top spot in the final Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Division 1 state poll of the season.
The Highlanders (17-1-2), who were No. 1 for two weeks earlier in the year, have outscored opponents 33-2 in an eight-game unbeaten streak since their lone loss – a 2-1 setback against Whitefish Bay on May 10. They traded places with Grafton (20-2-3), which fell to second place.
The next two positions in the poll also swapped, with Appleton North (18-0-0) rising one place to push fellow unbeaten Waukesha West (17-0-3) down one spot.
The only change in the other two state polls was in Division 2, where Sugar River and Ashland continued to rotate in the fourth and fifth spots. The Raiders (21-1-1) finished at No. 4, while the Oredockers (19-0-0) ended up at No. 5.
Waukesha Catholic Memorial (16-6-2) held the top position in the Division 2 for all 10 polls this season, while Winnebago Lutheran (19-0-0) was No. 1 in Division 3 for the last eight weeks.
