Prep BoysAfter its third straight perfect Southern Badger Conference season, it only makes sense Oregon had a strong presence on the all-conference team.

Six of the 11 spots on the first team chosen by league coaches went to Panthers players, five of them seniors.

Goalkeeper Brent Johnson (0.64 goals-against average) and midfielder Kam Cleveland (5 goals, 1 assist) joined Milton senior forward Kevin Kolloff as repeat selections on the top squad, while Kolloff and Oregon defender Alex Jenkins were among the five unanimous picks on the team.

Defender Nate Benson (2-5) and forward Cole Engh (4-0), both seniors, and junior midfielder Scott Odorico (3-5) rounded out the first-team choices for the Panthers, who outscored opponents 13-2 in winning all six of their Southern Badger matches once again this fall.

Milton senior midfielder Sam Novak also was a unanimous first-teamer, a year after making the second team. He and Kolloff each had 16 goals overall this season, and the high-scoring duo had 11 and 12 assists, respectively. The Red Hawks, who finished second in the conference, also had a unanimous selection on the backline in senior defender Landon Shea.

The only two first-team selections from teams other than Oregon and Milton were Monona Grove senior defender Mitch Geiger, another unanimous pick by coaches, and Madison Edgewood junior midfielder Michael McKernan (5-4).

Koloff collected All-Southern Badger accolades for the third consecutive season, having earned honorable mention as a sophomore in 2009. Geiger and Engh, who were honorable mention last fall, joined Johnson, Cleveland and Novak in picking up conference awards for the second straight year.
