Laurie Bell (UW-Milwaukee) has settled in nicely in Sweden.

Bell scored his first goal for Karlslunds IF HFK in a 3-0 victory over IF Sylvia on Friday in a Division 2 Södra Svealand match.

The 23-year-old from Poynton, England, gave the hosts a two-goal lead with his goal in the 30th minute. Bell has played every minute so far for Karlslunds (3-3-1), which is ninth in the 14-team league in the fourth division.

  • Another week, another clean sheet for Genevieve Richard (UW) and Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara. The Nadeshiko League Division 2 leaders blanked host Cerezo Osaka Sakai 2-0 to improve to 8-0-1 on the year; Nojima Stella has outscored its opponents by an 18-0 margin in its dominating start to the season.
