The Madison Futsal League's Forge boys Under-14 team will play at the U.S. Youth Futsal National Championships this weekend in New Century, Kan.

The Forge dominated their division at last month's Midwest Regional in St. Louis, winning all five of their matches by at least five goals and averaging 9.6 goals per game en route to claiming the regional title.

They're one of 10 teams in the Under-14 boys division at nationals, and will play in Pool C with Sporting Kansas City Academy Argyle and Sporting Blue Valley Man United. Both Kansas sides are affiliated with Major League Soccer club Sporting KC.

The Forge, coached by league founder Ilir Lushaj and UW-Platteville men's coach Enzo Fuschino, plays their two group games on Saturday night, and the pool winner earns a berth in Sunday night's semifinals – the top runner-up out of the three second-place finishers also will advance to the final four. The final is set for Monday.
