U.S. Youth Soccer National League

SC Waukesha's Under-14 Blue boys team had a rough start to U.S. Youth Soccer National League play earlier this month in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Coach Marcio Leite's side lost all four of its matches in its debut in the national competition, three of them by shutout. Colin Alba scored the lone goal for SC Waukesha on the weekend in a 3-1 loss to California's SLA Nomads on Dec. 13.

SC Waukesha fell to Texas' Solar Chelsea Red 2-0 in its opener Dec. 10 and also lost to Arizona's Valparaiso United Futbol and Georgia's Concorde Fire Central Elite by matching 3-0 scorelines. The team will conclude Red Division play in March in Las Vegas against Pennsylvania's Beadling, Virginia's Bethesda South and Missouri's Sporting J.B. Marine.

  • FC Wisconsin Eclipse forwards Emma Jaskaniec (Menomonee Falls) and Aryssa Mahrt and FC Wisconsin Nationals player Jordan Stump (Verona) were among the 114 players who were part of the fourth and final U.S. Club Soccer id² training camp of the year Dec. 10 to 13 in Casa Grande, Ariz. The top girls performers from the four select camps will be invited to next year's Nike National Training Camp, while the top boys players will earn invitations to the 2016 id² National Selection international tour.
  • Bavarian SC defender Evan Donini (Waukesha West) and midfielder Jack Longville (Eau Claire Memorial), who plays club soccer with Minnesota's Sporting St. Croix, played for the Region II Olympic Development Program 2000 team at the U.S. Youth Soccer IMG Interregional in Sarasota, Fla. The Region II side finished 1-2-0 and tied for third at the event, which wrapped up Sunday.
