After not having a team in the U.S. Youth Soccer National League last season, Wisconsin will again be represented in the competition during the 2015-16 campaign.

The SC Waukesha Blue Under-14 boys are one of the 160 teams that will compete in the league's ninth season. They'll be the fourth state side to play in the National League, following the United FC Under-15 boys (2011-12), North Shore United Under-18 girls (2012-13) and the SC Waukesha Blue Under-18 boys (2013-14).

SC Waukesha will play its seven matches in the competition at two events: the inaugural National League Fall Showcase from Dec. 10 to 13 in Wilson, N.C., and March 11 to 13 in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Player's College Showcase.

The top two finishers in each age group in the National League earn berths in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships. Group assignments and schedules will be announced in the fall.

  • The U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships will be in Frisco, Texas, from 2016 through '18, then move to Overland Park, Kan., for the 2019 and '20 events.
  • Next year's U.S. Youth Soccer Region II tournament is scheduled for June 25 to 29 in Westfield, Ind. Unlike the past two years, the regional tournament will not conflict with the WIAA state girls tournament, which will be held June 16 to 18.
