The Columbus Crew scored four goals last week and Ethan Finlay (Marshfield) played a role in three of them.

Finlay had two assists to boost his Major League Soccer-leading total to 10 and scored his third goal of the season as the Crew beat the New England Revolution 2-1 last Wednesday and earned a 2-2 away draw against Real Salt Lake on Saturday.

Against the Revolution, Finlay brought down a cross from left back Waylon Francis on the right side of the box and played it back across the middle for Kei Kamara to finish to snap a 1-1 tie in the 50th minute. (First video below)

Three nights later in Utah, Finlay set up Tony Tchani's 42nd-minute equalizer and then scored one of his own 20 minutes later. Kamara got the ball to Federico Higuain, who found space on the right side and played in a cross for Finlay, who got to the ball just ahead of goalkeeper Nick Rimando and scored. • Seattle Sounders 2 goalkeeper Charlie Lyon (Marquette) was named to the USL Team of the Week for the second straight week after posting a pair of shutouts. • Midfielder Tony Walls (Wauwatosa East/UW-Green Bay) converted a 78th-minute penalty Saturday as the host Rochester Rhinos blanked the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 1-0 to extend their season-opening unbeaten streak to a club-record 14 games. On a rainy, windy night in New York, Alex Dixon drew the decisive penalty and Walls fired the ensuing shot from the spot up and over Riverhounds goalkeeper Calle Brown. (Watch highlights below) It was the second goal of the season for Walls and it was the first penalty kick of the year for Rochester (9-0-5), which leads the Eastern Conference by five points and has allowed just five goals. Walls earned a spot on the bench on the USL Team of the Week for his performance. On Twitter: @TWalls20

However, the former MLS keeper was back between the posts for Monday's 1-1 draw against Bærum in the second-tier 1. Division. On Twitter: @AlexHorwath
  • Andrew Stadler (Wauwatosa West) scored his team-best fifth goal Monday as host Landskrona BoIS doubled up FC Höllviken 4-2 in a Division 1 Södra match in Sweden. After a slow start, Landskrona (5-5-2) is up to sixth in the 14-team, third-division league and Stadler is tied for ninth in goals. On Twitter: @AndrewStadler
