The Milwaukee School of Engineering men's soccer team had the best season in its 32-year history this fall, recording a program-record 17 victories and earning its first NCAA Division III tournament berth.

And the Raiders reaped the rewards as the annual All-Wisconsin honors were announced: Junior forward Logan Andryk (Milwaukee Marquette) was named Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, while Jimmy Banks (Milwaukee Custer/UW-Milwaukee) was lauded as the Coach of the Year.

The All-Wisconsin team recognizes the top players from Division III men's teams across the state, and is voted on by coaches of those programs who are members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Andryk, who was the state Co-Player of the Year last fall, scored 10 goals and had a school-record 25 assists in 22 appearances for the Raiders (17-4-1). His assist total was the most for an NCAA men's soccer player this season in any division and is tied for sixth in Division III men's history.

The Hartland native was the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and became the first MSOE soccer player named a first-team NSCAA All-American.

The panel of coaches selected UW-Oshkosh junior defender Karl Bock (Oregon) as the Defensive Player of the Year. Bock had one goal and one assist in 21 matches for the Titans (14-5-2) and anchored a backline that allowed only eight goals and posted 12 shutouts – Oshkosh yielded just two goals over its final 11 matches, winning the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and playoff titles.

UW-Whitewater's John Gottwald (South Milwaukee) claimed the other individual award, as he was named Sportsman of the Year. The senior midfielder had seven goals and a team-best 11 assists in 22 appearances for Whitewater (14-5-4) and also is a chemistry major who carries a 3.65 grade-point average.

Six players made the 14-player first team for the second straight year: Andryk, Bock, Gottwald, MSOE senior goalkeeper Garrett Farin (Madison East), Carroll senior defender Connor Behnke (Hartford) and UW-Superior senior forward Brian Grand.

Carthage senior forward Michael Dombrowski earned a spot on the All-Wisconsin team for the fourth consecutive year, making the second team – he was a first-team pick in 2012 and '13 after being a second-team choice as a freshman in 2011.
