In 2010 and '11, Patrick Hodan and Logan Andryk helped Milwaukee Marquette win WIAA Division 1 boys soccer state championships.

Two weeks ago, the college juniors each were named first-team Academic All-Americans. Then on Friday, the midfielders both earned spots on National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-America first teams.

Hodan, left in photo, led Notre Dame with nine goals (five game-winners) and added three assists as he became the 14th player in program history to earn NCAA Division I All-America honors.

The Brookfield native was the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year and was one of 15 semifinalists for the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, given annually to the nation's top player.

Andryk, meanwhile, is the first soccer player – and just the second athlete in Milwaukee School of Engineering history – to be named a first-team All-American.

After making the NCAA Division III third team each of the past two years, the Hartland native moved up to the top squad following a stellar season in which he had 10 goals and a school-record 25 assists in 22 matches. Andryk's assist total was the most for an NCAA men's soccer player this season, in any division, and is tied for sixth in Division III men's history.

He was the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight year as the Raiders posted a program-record 17 victories and earned their first NCAA tournament berth.
