Club notes: Bavarians Under-13 boys close out Spain trip with win

The Bavarian SC Under-13 boys team went 1-1-1 on its trip to Spain, beating Escuela Movilla 3-1 on Friday in the final match of the tour.

Noah Hernandez had a hand in all three goals, setting up Jackson Bogli's 33rd-minute opener and scoring the final two against the Madrid side.

Bogli and Freddy Vorlop scored for the Bavarians in a 4-2 loss to the Yuncos Select Team in their second game Wednesday.

The team had eight players record goals or assists as it scored eight goals on the tour, which was set up through the adidas International Training Program.

  • Jack Shaw (Milwaukee Marquette) scored as the Chicago Fire beat D.C. United 3-0 in its finale at the Major League Soccer Generation Adidas Cup on Sunday in Frisco, Texas, and claimed the Domestic Division title with a 3-1-1 record and 10 points. The Fire also beat the Portland Timbers 4-2 on Thursday and Chivas USA 3-0 on Friday as they won the eight-team bracket for teams that didn't qualify for the International Division in the competition for Under-17 teams from MLS clubs.
  • The Wisconsin State Championships, better known as the State Cup, starts its spring competition with play-in games next Saturday and Sunday at Scheels USA Youth Soccer Complex in Appleton. There are 47 matches scheduled in seven divisions – Under-13 through Under-17 boys and Under-13 and Under-14 girls. Play-in game winners advance to group play, which is May 24 to 26 in Appleton.
