April 19, 1936: Henry Kaercher had a hat trick in a four-goal second half as Milwaukee's Vienna AC surged to a 4-1 victory over the Simmons Blues in Kenosha, claiming the Wisconsin State Challenge Cup 7-2 on aggregate. The home side took the lead through Bob Patterson in the first half, pulling within 3-2 in the two-game, total-goal series, but Vienna took advantage of a strong wind at their backs after the break and won the Challenge Cup for the second straight year.
