Defender Alec "A.J." Cochran, a University of Wisconsin recruit, was called in to a U.S. Under-18 national team training camp that starts Saturday in Phoenix.
Cochran, a native of Ballwin, Mo., attends St. Louis Christian Brothers College High School and plays with St. Louis Scott Gallagher's team in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. This will be his third stint with the Under-18 national team.
The Under-18 team is scheduled to scrimmage four Major League Soccer teams during the nine-day camp, Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids on Feb. 15 and the expansion Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers on Feb. 19.
