Friday: No. 15 Panthers 1, Butler 0. Junior midfielder Helen Steinhauser scored her fourth goal of the season in the 35th minute and Milwaukee held the Bulldogs (8-10-2) to one shot on goal in a Horizon League semifinal at Engelmann Stadium. Freshman Kelsey Holbert set up the goal, beating a defender to the endline, cutting inside and finding Steinhauser for a one-time shot at the near post. The Panthers outshot sixth-seeded Butler 17-6 and had an 11-1 advantage in shots on goal – the Bulldogs' lone shot on frame came on a drive by Elise Kotsakis from outside the box in the 43rd minute. Junior Jamie Forbes made the save for her 10th shutout of the season.

Sunday: No. 15 Panthers 5, Wright State 1. The Raiders (10-8-3) took a surprising lead in the 13th minute, but senior striker Sarah Hagen (Appleton North) had two goals and two assists as UWM stormed back at Engelmann to win its fourth consecutive league title. "I think it's a tremendous credit to this group," said Panthers coach Michael Moynihan, whose team tied the 2008 squad for the most wins in a season in program history. "We've had contributions from a lot of places. Our freshman group has been fantastic. We've had wonderful senior leadership and phenomenal team chemistry. Put that all together and it's the first undefeated season we've had in the league in a while capped with a league championship." Hagen set up senior Laurel Ragalie (Kenosha Bradford) for the equalizer, a one-timer in the 23rd, then assisted on freshman forward Kelley Lewers' go-ahead goal in the 43rd. Tournament MVP Keara Thompson extended the lead in the 57th before Hagen bagged her 23rd and 24th goals of the season in the 66th and 75th to turn the game into a rout. Hagen tied her program and league records for goals in a season, broke the records for points with 56 and continued to move up the NCAA career charts – she is tied with Penn State's Tiffany Weimer (2002 to '05) for ninth place with 91 goals and ranks 18th with 207 points. Hagen, Steinhauser, Forbes and senior defender Makenzie Gillaspie joined Thompson on the all-tournament team for the Panthers.
