College womenThe nationally ranked Marquette and UW-Milwaukee women's soccer teams continued their winning streaks in conference play this week, while UW-Green Bay saw a trend continue, too – unfortunately for the Phoenix, it was a struggle to score.

Get all the highlights in our weekly recap of the Golden Eagles, Panthers and UW-Green Bay.

MarquetteMarquette (12-2-0, 5-1-0 Big East)

Thursday: No. 10 Golden Eagles 1, Louisville 0. Sophomore midfielder Taylor Madigan (Waunakee) scored another big goal for Marquette, as her 12-yard strike in the fifth minute was the difference in a Big East Conference win over the host Cardinals (4-5-3, 2-1-2). Madigan has scored the game-winner in each of the past two matches and four of her five goals on the season have been game-winners. "We are very proud of our ladies' efforts tonight. It was workman-like and in a game with few chances, we scored the decider early," Golden Eagles coach Markus Roeders said. "Defensively, our group was solid all night." Senior goalkeeper Natalie Kulla didn't need to make a save in her 37th career shutout, as Louisville's lone shot on goal was cleared away by a Marquette defender. Madigan got a pass from sophomore forward Maegan Kelly on the right side, turned and fired a shot to the upper 90 past Cardinals senior keeper Chloe Kiefer (Whitefish Bay/Milwaukee DSHA). Kiefer finished with four saves.

Sunday: No. 10 Golden Eagles 4, Cincinnati 0. It was a great day for Shorewood High School alums, as sophomore twin sisters Cara and Emily Jacobson both scored and freshman Mary Luba had the first two assists of her career in a convincing victory over the host Bearcats (5-5-4, 1-3-2) in a Big East match. Sophomore Vanessa Legault-Cordisco, recently called up to the full Canadian national team, joined Emily Jacobson in scoring her first Marquette goal and senior forward Lindsey Page rounded out the scoring in the Golden Eagles' fourth straight win. Cara Jacobson and Legault-Cordisco scored in a 7-minute span late in the first half, while Emily Jacobson and Page scored in a 7-minute span late in the second half. "We played extremely composed and efficient today," said Roeders, who used 11 players off the bench and saw them account for all of the goals. Kulla made one save for career shutout No. 38.

Up next: vs. Providence, 7 p.m. Friday; vs. Connecticut, 1 p.m. Sunday.

UW-Green BayUW-Green Bay (3-8-2, 1-3-0 Horizon)

Saturday: Detroit 2, Phoenix 0. With leading scorer Hekla Palmadottir sidelined due to injury, Green Bay was blanked for the ninth time this season in a Horizon League loss to the host Titans (9-4-1, 2-1-0). The Phoenix held Detroit to nearly a goal below its season average of 2.92 – that figure led the league and ranked 11th in the country coming into the week – but had only two shots on the other end. "I thought we defended well once again against a good Detroit team," said Green Bay coach Trevor Warren, whose team allowed more than one goal for just the second time this year. Senior keeper Maddie Drusch (Appleton Xavier) made two saves, allowing a penalty kick to Rebekah Dornbos in the 22nd minute and a goal by Kaitlyn Quarrell on a shot from the top of the box in the 57th.

Up next: vs. Loyola (Ill.), 7 p.m. Wednesday; vs. Wright State, noon Sunday.

UW-MilwaukeeUW-Milwaukee (11-1-0, 3-0-0 Horizon)

Saturday: No. 14 Panthers 3, Wright State 1. Senior Sarah Hagen (Appleton North) scored her 81st and 82nd career goals to move into a tie for 15th in NCAA Division I history and spark UWM past the Raiders (5-5-2, 0-2-1) in a Horizon match in Dayton, Ohio. "Going on the road and getting a convincing road win is great," Panthers coach Michael Moynihan said after his side's fifth straight win. "I was really happy with play in the second half. I was happy that we came out, executed what we talked about and had a lot of really good chances." Hagen, who will miss Wednesday's game against Valparaiso as she participates in a week-long camp with the U.S. Under-23 national team in Carson, Calif., scored in the 50th and 82nd minutes to match former Penn State star Christie Welsh (1999 to 2002) on the NCAA goal-scoring list. Senior midfielder Keara Thompson scored the opener for UWM, following up her own blocked shot, then played in Hagen for her second goal of the match and 15th of the season. Panthers junior keeper Jamie Forbes was minutes away from her seventh shutout of the season, but Brittany Persaud scored in the 88th.

Up next: vs. Valparaiso, 7 p.m. Wednesday; vs. Youngstown State, 1 p.m. Sunday.
