Stan AndersonMarquette's Stan Anderson once again was named to College Soccer News' annual listing of the country's top assistant men's soccer coaches.

Anderson, a former standout goalkeeper at UW-Parkside, is in his fifth season with the Golden Eagles working with head coach Louis Bennett – the two previously were at UW-Milwaukee for 10 seasons.

In addition to coaching Marquette's keepers, Anderson focuses on recruiting and community relations. The Golden Eagles posted seven wins in 2010, their best total in seven years, and recorded their first Big East Conference tournament victory.

Anderson has made the CSN honor list "numerous times," according to his biography on the Marquette website.

  • With national signing period starting Wednesday, Kenosha Tremper defender David Caban is 19th in the CSN Top 150 recruit rankings. Caban reportedly has committed to the University of Wisconsin. Hartford forward James Weber (Xavier) is 102nd and Milwaukee Marquette midfielder Dorian O'Lochlayne (Creighton) is No. 110. St. Louis Christian Brothers defender A.J. Cochran, another UW recruit, is 63rd.
