Club notes: State teams in ECNL, NPL PDF Print E-mail

Elite Clubs National LeagueElite Clubs National League play resumes this weekend for FC Milwaukee, with the club's five teams headed east for matches against the Michigan Hawks and Vardar on Saturday and Sunday.

The Nationals' Under-18 team is off to a 1-0-2 start in the first season of the ECNL Midwest Conference, while the Under-17s are 1-2-0, the Under-16s are 0-2-1 and the Under-15s are 0-3-0, all in Flight B of the competition. The club's Under-14 team is 0-1-0; there are no flights for that age group.

FC Milwaukee has five home ECNL matches scheduled in October and November, in addition to two matches in St. Paul, Minn.

  • Boys teams from FC Milwaukee, Bavarian SC and the Madison 56ers make their debuts in the new U.S. Club Soccer National Premier Leagues on Saturday. The Nationals play host to the Chicago Magic in Midwest League Great Lakes Division Under-13 and Under-14 matches in Germantown, while the same teams from the 56ers travel to Bridgeview, Ill., to face the Chicago Fire Academy teams. Also, the Bavarian Juniors Under-13 side plays host to its counterpart from Sockers FC Chicago. The Under-13 and Under-14 teams have between four and six matches apiece in the fall portion of the season; schedules for the other age groups haven't been posted on the league website.
  • FC Milwaukee, the lone state club in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, has two Central Conference matches slated for its Under-15/16 and Under-17/18 boys teams this fall: away games Nov. 19 against St. Louis Scott Gallagher Metro and Nov. 20 against St. Louis Scott Gallagher Missouri.
