Elite Clubs National LeagueFC Milwaukee finished the Elite Clubs National League season tied for 31st out of the 52 member clubs.

The league, which wrapped up the 2010-11 season with the ECNL Nationals Championships last weekend in Aurora, Colo., compiles an overall club ranking by combining clubs' results and finishes in each of the four age groups: Under-15 through Under-18.

Chicago's Eclipse Select ended up as the ECNL club national champion with 191 points, one point ahead of the San Diego Surf. FC Milwaukee had 89 points, the same total accrued by Idaho's Sereno SC.

Three FC Milwaukee teams played at the National Championships, all in placement matches as none of the sides were involved in promotion, relegation or national championship games. In Under-18 competition, only the top eight teams in the Challenge A Flight play at the nationals; the Nationals (5-3-1) just missed out, finishing ninth.

The Under-15 team (3-8-4), which struggled in the Challenge B Flight, didn't lose a match in Colorado and ended up 21st out of the 26 teams. FC Milwaukee routed Virginia Rush Nike 8-2 and Alabama's Birmingham United 5-1 before playing a 1-1 draw with the Utah Avalanche.

The Nationals' Under-17 team (8-4-3) also won a pair of games on the weekend, posting 2-0 victories over Maryland's Freestate SA and Nevada's Neusport FC 2-0 sandwiched around a 5-3 loss to Washington Premier FC to finish seventh in Challenge B.

FC Milwaukee's Under-16 team (7-4-4) lost to FC Dallas 3-1 and New York's Albertson Fury 2-1 before closing the season with a 1-1 tie against Washington Premier and ended up eighth in Challenge B.

For the 2011-12 season, the ECNL is expanding to 66 clubs and five age groups, adding an Under-14 competition, and will only play in ECNL regional and national competitions.
