FC Milwaukee midfielder Lindsey Holmes and defender Brittany Von Rueden were named to the Elite Clubs National League Under-17 All-Event Team for last month's San Antonio Event.
Holmes and Von Rueden were among 11 players selected for the all-event team for the Nationals (6-3-3), who are seventh in the 26-team Flight B with one event left in the regular season. The league ranks teams by average points per game.
FC Milwaukee has three other teams in the ECNL, which has two 26-team flights in each of its four age groups.
The Under-18 side is 5-3-1 and tied for ninth in Flight A with an average of 1.78 points per game. In the Under-16 Flight B competition, the Nationals are 7-2-3 and tied for third with a 2.00 average. The Under-15 team has struggled to a 1-8-3 record and stands 25th.
The final ECNL regular-season event is the PDA College Showcase, which is May 28 to 30 in Zarephath, N.J. The ECNL National Championships are July 14 to 16 in Aurora, Colo.
Minnesota Thunder midfielder Lauren Reid, a University of Wisconsin recruit, made the Under-18 honor team for the San Antonio Event, which was March 4 to 6.
