FC Milwaukee midfielder Ally Andreini (Oshkosh West) was one of 81 players invited to the Elite Clubs National League/US Club Soccer id2 National Training Camp last month in Tallahassee, Fla.
The four-day camp for players born in 1994 and '95 included U.S. Soccer women’s development director Jill Ellis, U.S. Soccer technical adviser Mike Dickey and coaches from more than 30 college teams across the country.
Players from 44 clubs and 26 states also participated in off-field presentations, including one done by former U.S. women’s national team stars Mia Hamm and Kristine Lilly.
An 18-player select team will be chosen from the camp for an international trip, tentatively planned for Europe in late July.

Two FC Milwaukee players were named to the all-event team for the ECNL Final Four Showcase in December in Raleigh, N.C. Forward Mady Vicker (Whitefish Bay) – a Marquette recruit – made the Under-18 honor team for the event, while goalkeeper Michela Ongaro (Hartland Arrowhead) was part of the Under-16 team.

The ECNL is set expand to 66 clubs for the 2011-12 season, two years after 40 clubs were charter members. The league also will add an Under-14 division; currently, there are Under-18, Under-17, Under-16 and Under-15 divisions.
