The Wisconsin Adult Soccer Association Major League, the state's top men's amateur league, is scheduled to start its 2011-12 season Sunday afternoon.
Once again there are 10 teams in the league, which plays a round-robin schedule in the fall and spring. However, there is one new team this season.
Mad City SC replaces USA Palermo, which dropped back down to the WASA First Division after going 0-15-1 in Major League play last season.
Mad City SC, formerly known as Organizacion Latina de Futbol, has fielded teams and leagues since 2008 and will have a local rival in Madison United.
It appears that there will be only three league matches played Sunday.
The game between Mad City SC and Milwaukee Sport Club is listed on the WASA website as being postponed, and Madison United coach Raj Rajani said that his team's match at defending champion Bavarian SC also will be rescheduled.
