The Madison 56ers swept the Wisconsin Men's Under-23 competition this summer, winning the five-team league run by the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association and a postseason tournament.
The 56ers (5-1-0) were unbeaten until their final match, dropping a 2-0 decision to North Shore United last Saturday at Reddan Soccer Park in Verona.
North Shore United and Madison United – the 2008 and '10 league champion – both finished with 10 points, though one North Shore score was not reported.
North Shore also finished second behind the 56ers in the tournament last Sunday at Croatian Park in Franklin.
