The Madison men's Over-30 championship will be determined Friday night, as Madison United faces Mad City FC in the Keva Sports Center league final at Firefighters Park Stadium in Middleton. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and admission is free.
Madison United (9-6-2) had the best record in the six-team league during the spring portion of the season (6-1-2), and avenged its lone loss with a 5-1 rout of second-seeded Europa in the semifinals Monday night.
They also have dealt Mad City FC (6-3-8) two of their three losses on the season, winning 2-1 on Oct. 2 and 3-1 on May 7.
Fourth-seeded Mad City FC, which had to win its final regular-season match to qualify for the playoffs, knocked off top-seeded Inter-Madison 3-1 in the other semifinal. They had the second-best record in the spring season, with their only loss coming to Madison United.
